Biological activity:

N-Decanoyl-L-homoserinelactone is a member of the N-acyl-homoserinelactone family. N-Acylhomoserinelactones (AHL) regulate gene expression in Gram-negative bacteria such as Echerichia and Salmonella and are involved in quorum sensing and intercellular communication between bacteria.
